At SMM, we work as a team with Optics, Photonics, and Optoelectronics editors and our clients, to develop technical articles ranging from emerging technology to photonics product highlights, "how to" tutorials, case studies, cover story features, and more.  We are specialists in delivering editorial content that is meaningful to readers, while enhancing our clients' technologies and establishing their credibility as leading experts in their respective fields. SMM coordinates editorial interviews, develops and recommends topics for feature article consideration, consults with the writer and editor(s), re-writes, edits and formats all articles.  When finalized and approved, we prepare electronic files and submit all materials, including the accompanying figures and photos, by deadline.

We proactively seek editorial topics that fit our clients’ products, services, and capabilities. Often, editors call upon us as a resource to provide content on various subjects. We also explore relevant editorial opportunities in vertical market trade journals for our clients.  SMM routinely receives Editorial Calls that offer FREE inclusions for our company-clients’ participation, such as round-up articles, trade show previews/post-show reviews, inclusions in technical articles, special features, buyers guides’ listings, product spotlights, professional society postings, tradeshow listings, etc.

PRESS RELEASES

Press releases are a great, cost-effective way to let your customers and potential customers know about your company’s products, services, capabilities, and important events. For best results, we make certain the information is news-worthy, fact-based, and of interest to your market. We begin by highlighting the key features and the important application areas for your products/services. SMM’s press release writing and release services include consultation, copywriting/editing, creating high-resolution color photos from our clients’ existing photos, retouching/enhancing photos, customizing PR media lists and customizing emails, per editors’ requests.  We then electronically format and submit the materials to a weekly-updated optoelectronics media list of approximately 275 editors/publishers.
